the best thing ever

so today, i was walking back from the dining hall, and as i approached these steps in the courtyard i noticed a squirrel going into a hole in a bush next to the stairs. and then it stopped, halfway in. and all that was sticking out was its little bushy tail.

i, for one, have never gotten quite that close to a harvard squirrel, or any squirrel for that matter. and it couldn't see me, so i took the three remaining steps to get right next to it, and still it didn't move!

so i yanked its tail.

it was by far one of the best things ever. i had one thought before i did it (which was a quick wonder about whether it might bite me) and that was gone in a split second. the squirrel ran into the bush. its tail was definitely not as soft and fluffy as it looked. but very satisfying nonetheless.

and no, i cannot stop thinking about it.
and yes, i would do it again. =)
